Dowry System is most vile practice of our society. We regularly read stories in newspapers about daughter in laws being tortured and burnt alive by family members demanding dowry. To get rid of this practice Ashram arranges simple marriages in the Ashram without dowry with consent of the families involved.

Ashram also supports remarriage of widows. Every human being has right to live a happy and dignified life. There are many cases when due to unfortunate death of a person; the widow has to live a life of denial without any financial and emotional support. Ashram facilitates widow marriage and helps the persons involved in leading a happy and meaningful life.

In our society even on death of our near and dear ones we are more worried about the expenses required for last rites and different rituals spread over 14 days. Ashram motivates the suffering families to conduct last rites in simple way and within 6 days. This prevents them from unnecessary financial burden.

Alcoholism is a major problem in rural areas. Villagers spend their hard earned money on alcohol which affects their family adversely. Ashram runs several programs including street theatre for educating the villagers about ill effects of the habit.
